This is a picture commemorating when Miyazaki visited New York City to attend the special premiere screening of Princess Mononoke. Please check the New York Film Festival page for more details. Seated next to Nausicaa and Teto in this sketch is Mr. Miyazaki himself and next to him is Mr. Suzuki (the producer of Miyazaki's films) who attended as well. Since they watched the whole film along with the audience I wondered what they thought of the english voices dubbed over the original Japanese voice track. Reports show that Miyazaki is quite happy with the dubbing job and rightly so since it was a very good effort. I'm sure however, that there are a few places in the script that he wishes that he could sink deep into his seat... this sketch depicts one of those moments.
